The Wheel of Time : story
In ‘The Wheel of Time,’ Moiraine, a skilled member of the Aes Sedai, a formidable group of female channelers, joins forces with her Warder, Lan, to track down a group of five young villagers from the remote Two Rivers area of Andor. Their quest is triggered by a village attack, and they believe that one of these youths might be the reincarnation of the Dragon, an immensely powerful channeler responsible for world-altering events. The Dragon Reborn, as prophesied, could either save the world from the ancient malevolent force known as the Dark One or plunge it into chaos once again.

The Wheel of Time : season 1 Episodes
Moiraine, an Aes Sedai wielding the One Power, seeks the Dragon’s rebirth to battle the Dark One’s evil. She finds potential candidates in the Two Rivers, including Rand and his unrequited love, Egwene. Trollocs attack, leaving death and abduction in their wake. Moiraine, injured, recruits the villagers to protect their homeland.
Eamon Valda executes an Aes Sedai in a Whitecloak camp. Moiraine, Lan, and the Two Rivers villagers flee from pursuing Trollocs and the Fade. Moiraine sinks a ferry with the One Power to deter the Trollocs, unintentionally causing the ferryman’s death. Inside Shadar Logoth, they are separated and attacked by Mashadar. Nynaeve confronts Lan about the villagers.
Nynaeve escapes and confronts Lan and Moiraine, while the villagers and separated into two groups. Egwene and Perrin find safety with the Tuatha’an, while Mat and Rand encounter a rogue gleeman, Thom Merrilin. Nynaeve eventually helps heal Moiraine. Red sisters capture Logain Ablar, claiming he’s the Dragon Reborn.
Moiraine witnesses Logain, a potential Dragon Reborn, as Aes Sedai attempt to gentle him. Egwene and Perrin journey with peaceful Tinkers. Thom suspects Mat can channel. A deadly encounter with a Fade leaves Thom dead and Rand and Mat on the run. Nynaeve’s remarkable One Power healing saves the day. Logain escapes, but the Aes Sedai successfully gentle him.
Kerene is buried, and Logain’s followers are left behind. Moiraine, Lan, Nynaeve, and Aes Sedai travel to Tar Valon. Perrin and Egwene encounter Whitecloaks, leading to Egwene’s capture. Wolves help them escape. Rand and Mat arrive in Tar Valon, where they meet Loial and reunite with Nynaeve. Tragic events unfold as Stepin, Kerene’s Warder, takes his own life, leaving Lan grieving.
Moiraine’s secret mission to find the Dragon Reborn advances as she frees Mat from a cursed dagger and reunites with Egwene and Perrin. A hidden plan with Siuan unfolds. Moiraine and the Two Rivers villagers embark toward the Eye of the World to confront the Dark One, leaving Mat behind.
The group travels through the corrupted Ways but leaves Mat behind. They encounter terrifying challenges, including Machin Shin. At Fal Dara, Moiraine reveals that only the Dragon will survive reaching the Eye of the World. Moiraine consults the seer Min Farshaw, and Nynaeve and Lan share an intimate moment. Egwene and Rand reconcile. Rand and Moiraine depart for the Eye, leaving the rest behind.
In a dramatic confrontation, Rand faces the Dark One’s temptations at the Eye of the World while Moiraine and others fight against Trolloc attacks. The Horn of Valere is stolen by a Darkfriend, Padan Fain. After resisting the Dark One’s lure, Rand goes into hiding. Mysterious ships with formidable channelers approach in the west.

A secret meeting of Darkfriends decides to observe Rand instead of killing him. Moiraine, residing with fellow Aes Sedai Adeleas and Verin, grapples with her lost powers. Egwene and Nynaeve are in the White Tower, with Egwene seeking recognition and Nynaeve battling a power block. Perrin and Loial search for the stolen Horn. Liandrin offers to train Nynaeve, despite past failures. Moiraine is attacked, and Lan tries to save her with Aes Sedai Verin and Adeleas’ help.
Moiraine and Lan recover and head for the White Tower. Verin believes Moiraine found the Dragon Reborn. Rand hides in Cairhien and forms a connection with Selene. In the White Tower, Liandrin pressures Nynaeve to become Accepted. Egwene befriends Elayne. Mat learns of a troubling vision. Perrin and the Shienarans find a massacre site and are captured by the Seanchan, including Suroth and Ishamael.
Rand seeks to learn to control the One Power from Logain. Perrin and the Shienarans are forced to submit to the Seanchan. Nynaeve undergoes the Accepted test but seemingly fails. Liandrin releases Mat, and Nynaeve’s adventure inside the Arches turns disastrous, leading to her return to a shocked Egwene.
Moiraine makes a deal with Logain in Cairhien to train Rand. In the White Tower, Nynaeve is raised to Accepted and learns of Perrin’s capture by the Seanchan. She, Egwene, and Elayne try to rescue him but are ambushed by Liandrin. Rand and Selene (Lanfear) venture into the countryside, but Moiraine intervenes, revealing Selene’s true identity. They flee as Lanfear begins to recover.
Perrin saves Aviendha, aligns with her to rescue the others. Suroth is demoted but gains favor by delivering the Horn of Valere. Nynaeve and Elayne escape from the Seanchan. Verin investigates their disappearance. Rand and Moiraine evade Lanfear and seek refuge with Anvaere. Moiraine has Rand enter Tel’aran’rhiod, where he’s captured by Lanfear.
In Falme, Egwene faces torture and indoctrination to accept her role as a damane under sul’dam control. Nynaeve and Elayne attempt to rescue her but alert the Seanchan. Mat and Min meet in Cairhien while Rand learns of Egwene’s capture. Moiraine is summoned by Siuan Sanche, and Lan, Alanna, and warders prevent Rand from leaving.
Mat is abducted by Lanfear and experiences disturbing visions. Nynaeve and Elayne capture a sul’dam. Perrin and Aviendha join Aiel warriors on the journey to Falme. Rand is captured in Cairhien, but Barthanes’ Darkfriend plot is exposed. Lan helps Moiraine escape Ishamael’s shield, and Lanfear aids their departure for Falme.
Lanfear transports Moiraine and Lan out of Falme, while Rand kills Turak. Ishamael realizes Lanfear’s betrayal and plans to use Mat to kill Rand, but Mat escapes. Whitecloaks attack Falme. Ingtar, Loial, and Masema take the Horn of Valere. Egwene breaks free, Mat blows the Horn, and Perrin kills Geofram. Rand defeats Ishamael with Moiraine’s help, becoming the Dragon Reborn. Lanfear learns that all the Forsaken are free.
